Cookies and Browser Storage
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Blink does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. We use only what is needed to run the site. Because these items are strictly necessary (or only remember your interface choices on your own device), we do not ask for consent with a banner; we show a short notice so that you know.
What is stored
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
blink_session | Cookie (HttpOnly, Secure) | Keeps you logged in after you sign in | Up to 30 days, or until you log out |
blink_oauth | Cookie (HttpOnly, Secure) | Protects the sign-in with Discord or Google from forged requests | 10 minutes |
blink_notice | Local storage | Remembers that you closed the privacy notice | Until you clear your browser data |
blink_news_seen | Local storage | Remembers which notification (bell icon) you saw last, so the dot on the bell goes away | Until you clear your browser data or log out |
What we do not use
- No analytics or advertising services, no tracking pixels, no session recording.
- No third-party fonts or scripts: the site loads everything from its own address.
Control
You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. If you delete the login cookie you will simply be logged out.
